This is blog is dead, almost...So here I am to update it, not since november 07, lol. As we know, I'm not a blogger, neither do I blog well, I just do reviews.Well, I heard some Malaysians get paid to blog about product reviews. So wth, I'll just treat my reviews as blogging.
Heard about this artist at least 6 months ago, thought her songs were great but there were no real spotlight on her. But just recently, her "Love Song" has become the biggest hit in the US. She has peaked No.1 on Rick Dees, No.2 on AT 40 with Ryan and 4th on the biggest of them all, the Billboard chart. We all know her now, Sara Bareilles. Pronunciation may seem confusing, so I'll solve this little confusion. Bareilles pronounces " Ba - rare - lis ".
Here's her album cover
She seems like almost like a Norah Jones or a Vanessa Carlton, pouring everything on a piano.
To tell you the truth, I was blown away by this album. Very seldom an entire album is that good except probably Daughtry or maybe Some Hearts by Carrie Underwood. Sara is very very talented and her vocals are beautiful. She may sound like Michelle Branch, but she is totally original and her songs are very emotionally charged.
This album is really worth listening too because it is really contemporary and fresh.
The album has 12 songs.
Love Song (Her most famous so far, great beat )
Vegas (Interesting lyrics about dreams)
Bottle It Up (Not one of my favs but may ppl tend to like it )
One Sweet Love (Her best vocals can be heard, lyrics are excellent. Great song)
Come Round Soon ( I'm running out of words, great chorus, hits it really high at the end)
Morningside (Nice beat and addictive song)
Between The Lines ( A more serene and emotional song)
Love On The Rocks (Similar to Morningside)
City ( A little slow and needs patience )
Many The Miles ( Takes a few times to like it)
Fairytale ( Used in some children shows )
Gravity ( A lot of piano like City )
As a I said , she is up and coming. Whether you're gonna download it or whatever it takes, listen to this album .
