Top Notch Albums

It's been quite awhile since my previous post, and now I'm almost suffocating in my room looking at countless P/L's , balance sheets, cash budgets......and the host of those stuff. So just here to share a few albums I really like.
Firstly, the the eighth volume of Jay called "On the Run".
Some say it's the best album he has, like every new album that comes out. But clearly it's not, seems like maybe Jay is lacking some time due to an active roles in films. Nevertheless, a lot of improvising compared to the previous albums which is good.

I firstly thought the first song was a disaster, but after a few times of listening ,I finally accepted it. A Jay fan would be bias in commenting on this album, so I think I wouldnt . This album has sold in record volumes and even a fan like me hasn't got my hands on this album. Soon enough "the" collection would soon updated again.
And next few would be English albums as other than Jay, chinese songs are almost foreign to me.

First up, Lifehouse -Who We Are
I think this album quite tremendous if you have listened to previous albums, this one is actually better than the one before which had wonderful tracks like Come Back Down, and You and Me and Better Luck Next Time. Been listening to it for awhile, it's definitely good.

And next , Carrie Underwood with Carnival Ride


If you like Country music, this is heaven. If you don't , you wont be bothered. But Carrie has brought Country to another level, sort of like more modern. Again,I'm bias, all tracks are great, trust me !!!! Even the the Some Hearts albums.

And thirdly, it's the group which has visited Malaysia recently. The Click Five !

A change of lead singer, a change for the better. This album has really topped their last album way back in 2005. It's not really rock , but probably pop/rock. Their songs are mostly very lively songs, and I assure you they are good. Again I'm sorry to say, every damn song is good. Namely Jenny, Headlight Disco, Mary Jane and Empty.

So catch these albums if you can and when you can. One more paper people!

Some Crap to know before going into the exam room:

 
• Persevere. Always attempt questions. Make sure you attempt all questions in the paper
• Sometimes you can earn more marks and save time by doing a little more thinking before you put pen to paper. If you can't find the answer to an earlier part of a question, you should still attempt the later parts.
• It is a good idea to start with a question near the start of the paper. They aim to establish confidence early in the exam, and help you to start thinking mathematically.
• Look at the marks allocated to each question. More marks means that you should expect to spend more time and to show more steps in your logic.
• You should always show how you got your answer. If the answer is all that you write down then you will get zero marks for an incorrect answer.
• Work in black or blue pen in your exam book, although you may use pencil for diagrams and graphs.
• Make your working and graphs as neat as possible. If your writing is untidy, you may misread it and make careless errors.
• Show appropriate steps of logic in your solutions. These steps are awarded marks.
• Draw a light and single line through any working that you think is incorrect, and redo the solution. Any attempts at questions should be readable so that you can be given some credit for your work. You should not use whiteout in the exam as you may waste time waiting for it to dry and it makes your previous attempts unreadable.
• Check that your results are reasonable. If they are not, make a comment to that effect.

Remember, always be calm during your exam.. You may take a short 3 minutes break after 1 hour of the test and continue after that.. This will help you clear your mind and you will be able to continue with more confidence..

Friends Who Mean Everything To Me

As the curtain draws on SAM program, it just seems like a never-ending fairytale minus the common tests, projects and exams. Constantly consoling myself "1 year is a long time, dont worry". Yet with a sudden swing of the clock's arms, it's down to the last day of classes. The class of L3 , just like a jury system, representing people from all walks of life , have truly inspired me throughout the year. Nice lecturers for guiding me through and I'm quite satisfied with the work you put in.

The lack of birthday celebrations with friends did bring me some sort of joy I've never had this time. Thank you guys, to name each and every one of you would be long, but you know who you are. The pre-birthday celebration for me on the 19/10 on Suzzane's was a hell of a gesture. Thanks again to the entire class for your thougfulness and of course for footing the secret recipe bill =P, not mentioning 5 of you ( Nep , Hsiao Yinn, Shian, Sylvia and Ana) for the additional on-day celebration.

I'll also take the opportunity to thank you guys for the presents as "real presents" are less likely to come in the future. Here's some pics of them

Firstly the nice card from the five of them. It was very special with the silver dragonfly on the envolope and even a self-drawn Thierry Henry figure, how about that!!

And more gifts, these from Nep, a cologne and a wallet. Was something I really never expected to get, but I like it a lot.It's sort of like a 'created want' for me. Thanks Nep.Quite pro la I take the pics, haha!

And due to a slip of mind, I didnt post this earlier. The cake of course with a very special letter.(Dont read it as a literal meaning, for non-chinese readers, READ HERE )

I'm seriously getting very spoilt by other presents especially an Arsenal shirt from my two sis in Aussie. I find it very hard to accept as it does costs some sum of cash. And as usual, people use the standard reason " you only turn 18 once". Thanks so much again.

I hope all you guys do well in your finals, take care of yourselves and we'll probably have a last go in Prom and Pangkor. I hope you guys know how much I'll do the same for you.

ANTM Cycle 9

For some people, it would be like....Not Again....!!! But for others, another cycle of ANTM is just pure genius.
And yes, Jaslene is the winner from last week's finale, a big time lag there. Cycle 9 has started a few weeks ago and has proved to be somewhat promising but not astonishing.
So as usual, the auditions had tears , cries , pleads , arguements and lots of those emotions poured. But there was only room for 12.
As always, I've picked out the potential favourites and the strongest so far.
Firstly, Saleisha
So far I feel with the biggest potential and the strongest desire. Has some previous experience to springboard her in the start.

This time it's Chantal.
One of the brightest in the competition, was very impressed during the auditions. The theme of the picture is the effects of smoking. (look at the mirror)

Then we have Jenah.

This picture was outstanding. The pose was just excellent, and when you see it you wont know she's rockclimbing.

And next, Mila.(left)

Her face looks very European and kinda like Brita from Cycle 4 ( right picture). Look closely.

sleep over at deyao's hs

Like any other day while having lunch

someone (most likely Nep) come up with slp over at Deyao's after trials

since it was after trials, we all need to relax

plus his mom was on vacation

so he agreed

So after econs paper, Ana drove mua, Shian, Nep, Deyao and HsiaoYinn

to his house to drop our stuff

Ana went off after dropping us cause she need to fetch her sis

meaning that she missed singing k with us, again =(

...After that..

Deyao drove the rest of us to The Curve for RedBox

I asked "Eh, how many times you drive huh? 5 or 6 times?"

"erm.. yeah.. but this is the first time i drove my frens"

"okay.... -.-' did you tell you're mom u're taking the car?"

"er.. no.. Tha's why I say i'll get into big trouble if the car got scratched..

I'm damn nervous la, my parking sucks"

Nep was so noisy while Deyao was driving

but luckily we got there safely

Deyao's driving wasnt tat bad, cause he drove carefully

just that he's too nervous

but mostly because of us, since we keep telling him where to turn

While we were at RedBox

I found out that i forgot to bring my id

we had great time, except for Nep i guess

cause he's not into the song we pick

by the time we come out, all of us nearly lose our voice

cause the last few song are quite loud

and we shouted the whole song till end

So it was near evening after that

Shian, Yinn and me wanted to shop

so we called up Ana to join us, took taxi to 1U

since The Curve hav nth to shop

The guys went to Tesco to buy food

Nep was cooking lasagna for dinner

to be honest, Nep is a GREAT cook!

I miss his food

We meet Ana at Nose

we were trying on shoes around half or one hour there

after that we went to Padini/Seed/Vincci joint outlet

Yinn and me both bought a blouse and a pair of shoe~~

but we had to go back early, since i accidentally took Deyao's parking ticket

the guys were stuck there

both of them refuse to go repress a new ticket

girls "why didnt you guys go press another ticket??"

We drop Shian with her fren at the curve since she couldnt stay over

after that we all went back

it was around 8 when we reached Deyao's hs

by the time we all finish the lasagna, it was almost 10-11

after fooling around, we went to bed

but we only slp around 2-3

Nep and Yinn wake up damn early

by the time we got down

we found them watching movie without audio

we ate breakfast watch tv and play ping pong and start to slack around,

because when we move the pingpong table, they were lizards in it

after that we all went back pack our stuff and went home
